Today we were able to just sit at home and enjoy a quiet, lazy Sunday. The Hubby and I spent most of the day catching up on DVR-recorded Scrubs episodes, napping, and eating cookies. Gotta love The Janitor and Dr. Cox. =)

Towards the evening, I was able to work on some arts and crafts projects that I've been neglecting. I spent part of my productivity in Photoshop on some icons and a new banner for my new layout. Hopefully I'll get it done by the end of the week. I made some headway for my other projects, but there's still much to do. There's a couple of ideas I have in mind, but the execution for one of them (the big project) is eluding me atm. *sigh* I might need to sleep on it again to get some fresh eyes in the morning. On the bright side, I can work on the smaller project tonight, and finish in probably an hour's time. =) The house is going to smell nice!

If only I could get myself to be as motivated for my class readings. *L*

I woke up this morning with fresh eyes. I have a fantastic idea for the banner I wanted to create for that quote! All I need to do is go outside and get the perfect inspiration of a picture, maybe tomorrow. It's yucky out today. The icon's looking kind of cool, but I'm not sure if I'll use it yet.

In other news, I'm tempted to bake another batch of cookies, but I probably don't have time. I have to run a few errands before I go to the gym and then I meet Liza later. I'm feeling really good today. I think it's going to be the start of a good weekend. =)

My first blinkie!

I made my first blinkie! I googled the tutorial, and came across another blog site and OmG_iTz_KiMi's tutorial. She offered the brush file for the blinkie blocks, and her instructions were so easy to follow!

I think I'll keep it as my default blinkie for a while. I've put off doing my homework reading for long enough. *L*

This has been a great week so far. I've been feeling pretty optimistic about school and my internship, and not as overwhelmed as I was last semester.

Plus #1: Monday, I was able to talk to my prof about my macro social work project, and she gave it a "go". It's less stress for me, since my paper is about halfway done in terms of design work.

Plus #2: I was also offered a job to work with the kids on Saturdays, which means a little extra income to help pay for my tuition. It works out because it's less hours than a real part-time job, and it's more lax than my schedule with the kids program now. Another plus is the fact that I could possibly increase my hours during the summer, eliminating the anxiety of a part-time job search. Yay! I have Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays free, so it's not like I won't have time to myself, for my hubby, or for my housewife-ly duties.

Plus #3: I learned how to create some cool icons and background for myself in Adobe Photoshop and with the help of Animeshare tutorials It's sooooo cool! When I increase my drawing skills, maybe the animations will be more flowy. I am very proud of what I accomplished thus far.

Now, if I can get my cd/dvd drive to work by the end of the week, I'll be golden.

I think I'll get some soup in a bread bowl now. Panera is calling me. =P
